Macaws in Costa Rica are a fairly common sight.

Macaws can be found all over Costa Rica, and many people see them on beaches with handlers that offer to take your picture with them.

Unfortunately, macaws in Costa Rica are increasingly losing their habitats in the rain forest.

They are also suffering from poaching and illegal smuggling into the US for the pet industry.
