Ski Chapelco, Argentina Resort

Chapelco ski resort, situated 20 kilometres (12 miles) away from the city of San Martin de los Andes, is one of the three biggest resorts in Argentina. Its infrastructure and its sights' magnificence make visitors come back every year to enjoy the snow. Chapelco is the perfect place where to forget about all your problems and keep peace with your soul for as many days as you can stay.

Chapelco offers the skiers its famous gondola, with capacity for 6 persons, which travels more than 1,600 metres (1 mile) in just 5 minutes, protecting the occupants from the heights' winds. It also has other 9 lifts (open from 9:00 to 17:30) which can carry up to 11,700 skiers per hour, allowing them to slide down 40 kilometres (25 miles) of slopes among trees and mountains. The runs are located between 1,250 and 1,970 metres above sea level.

Facing the growing demand for places where to snowboard, Chapelco has also introduced a snowboard park, finally. The park is located at 1700m altitude as a way to guarantee snow quantity and quality all through the season.
