Rafting in Ecuador

Rafting in Ecuador is a popular adventure travel activity.

Ecuador has some of the best river rafting in South America thanks to the high mountain peaks of the Andes.

Rafting in Ecuador is usually done on a day trip, a several night overnight trip, or a week-long rafting trip.

The best river rafting in Ecuador can be done on the Blanco River near Quito, the Caoni River, the Toachi River, the Upano River in the Amazon, and the Mulate River.

The best time of year for river rafting in Ecuador is from February to June, as the rivers are at their best flow during this period.

There are a number of good river rafting companies in Ecuador.

Yacu Amu Rafting is one of them. They charge around US$200 per person for river rafting trips. The price includes transport from Quito, accommodation, some meals.

Another good rafting company in Ecuador is ROW Expediciones. With their rafting trip, you take a flight to Macas in the jungle and raft the Upano River.
